Multiple lab members were honored at the Department of Psychology and Neuroscience’s annual awards ceremony. From left to right: Senior MJ Carter who was an honorable mention for the Susan M. McHale Diversity Award, Dr. Kristen Lindquist, First Year Dujana Buheis, who was recognized for her receipt of the Reznick Undergraduate Research Award, and graduate student Mallory Feldman, who received the Psychology and Neuroscience’s Innovation in Equity & Inclusivity Award.

Jennifer MacCormack to give dissertation award address
Lab alumna, Dr. Jennifer MacCormack, will give an award address at the Society for Affective Science annual convention detailing her dissertation research. Dr. MacCormack received the SAS Best Dissertation Award in 2021. Dr. MacCormack will start as an Assistant Professor at the University of Virginia this summer. Check out her lab website here.

Congrats to MJ Carter, who successfully defended her senior honors thesis entitled “The Impact of Language on Cross-cultural Emotion Perception: An fMRI Study".” MJ will be a post-bacc researcher at NIH next year!

CASL Alum, Dr. Joshua Jackson, accepts a position at U Chicago!
Dr. Joshua Jackson will begin as an Assistant Professor at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business in July, 2023 after finishing his postdoc at Northwestern University. Dr. Jackson graduated from the lab in 2021. Read more about his work here.

Dr. Holly Shablack accepts an Asst Professor position at Washington and Lee University!
Congrats to lab graduate, Dr. Holly Shablack, who accepted a tenure track Assistant Professor position at Washington and Lee University! Dr. Shablack is currently a Visiting Assistant Professor at Oberlin College and will start at Washington and Lee in summer, 2022.
